All edges gilt. 8 full-page illustrations on tinted background blank on reverse plus 24 small vignette tailpieces by prominent American illustrator F.O.C. Darley. Top front joint with small fissure, light smudges throughout, pages intermittently toned. Tight, clean, and square binding. Straight, intact spine. Square corners. Clean, marbled endpapers.
